Mariso adopts LR approved welding procedures/materials/personnel to recondition worn-out valve seats,using Satellite as material loss to improve the heat resistance property and corrosion resistance property. The life span of reconditioned piece is much more extended.

Major reconditioning procedures

• Pre-machining and cleaning damages or cracks on the combustion face
• Dye-check of valve seat to verify surface defects
• Building up cut-off of damages or cracks on the combustion face by  welding with stainless steel, and then restore to original specification with a layer of satellite
• Ffinal machining the valve face back to size
• Dye-check of valve seat to verify defects.
• Drilling the cooling water holes
